Tips for proper cartridge care:

  • Always carry your cartridge with the print side head facing up.
  • Never tape your cartridge, since it leads to contamination and possible damage to electronics.
  • Do not abuse the cartridge in any way, (Don't squeeze, drop, throw or shake.)
  • Do not touch the electronics or the print head.
  • Keep your cartridges at room temperature.
  • If you're going to store cartridges use a protective clip to keep them from drying.
  • Don't run the cartridge completely out of ink.  Bring it to us shortly after you get a low ink message or you notice streaky printing.  (When in doubt don't send the printer a long job or lots of graphics if you suspect a low cartridge.)
  • Print at least once a week (color and black).  This keeps the printer flowing well since ink dry's over time and doesn't flow after sitting for a long time.
